Back in April we started a series of events called "Encoding Experience", to which we invited thought leaders across academia and industry to discuss issues relating to capturing the human experience of the built environment.
We started in Boston on April 25th, then went to San Francisco on April 29th - here's a post talking about the two events - and finished the 2025 series with one in London on September 2nd.
Here are the Encoding Experience invitees/attendees for this year's event series (we've skipped the Autodesk Research staff so it fills a grid nicely ;-).
We've also been publishing some posts about the journey and our findings over on the Autodesk Research blog. You will probably find them an interesting read, if you haven't already seen them.

The most recent was published yesterday, and looks in some detail at the conversations held during the April events.
It includes some algorithmic analysis...
As well as specific quotes from participants...
We'll be publishing more, in due course, especially regarding the findings from September's event in London.
I thoroughly enjoyed these three evenings with very special people who have a passion for understanding and predicting the human experience in all its variety and subjectivity. I'm looking forward to seeing where these connections - some old, some new - lead in the future, as we tackle some of the industry's most interesting challenges.
