This is both my 500th post on Through the Interface and my 500th tweet as @keanw. All my blog posts now go out via Twitter, but this hasn't always been the case, so this is partly coincidence and partly planned (since I noticed a few weeks ago that I was getting close to this number for both blogging and micro-blogging sites).

Thanks to all of you regular readers for your support, your feedback and the questions that have inspired me to write many of these 500 posts. Keep them coming! 🙂

And many thanks to my team, DevTech, for contributing such good material to post (whether deliberately or inadvertently).

A quick note on my two-week trip around Asia… I've just arrived safely in Tokyo, albeit without my luggage. Hopefully it'll catch up with me before I head on to Beijing on Wednesday.

  1. Hi Kean,

Congratulations on such a great job and such a huge amount of invaluable information, and keep them coming, man!

And best of luck and much success in the wild east.

    Cheers, Jeremy.

  2. Congratulations on your blogging tenacity! Five hundred posts is a monumental accomplishment in this age of short attention span theater. Personally I am glad to be closing in on my 200th blog entry. If I could match your accomplishment I'd have to commemorate the event with a small statue or something. Maybe a garden gnome of myself.

Of course your content far exceeds what can be found on my own and many many other sites. So that is 500 very well written and informative posts. THAT is really something to be proud of.

Again, congratulations and may your undies soon find you in your travels abroad.

  7. According to CLOC I've written around 220 C# files comprising 35,500 lines of code and 4,850 lines of comments. I checked a folder which may have multiple copies of some files and will be missing others, but that's the ballpark. 🙂

  8. Thanks, Nikolay!
