This week I've finally accepted the winter is over… here's a snap from yesterday, my last day on the slopes for this season.
It's now time to think about spring, and where better to do that than Amsterdam? Alright, there's no need to mention say Paris or Osaka… spring is lovely in lots of places, but I happen to be going to Amsterdam. So there.
Next week it's once again the Autodesk DevCon at the excellent and iconic Beurs Van Berlage conference venue, a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal station. In fact I'll be walking across from there on Tuesday morning: I arrive via night train from Switzerland at 9:30am (I admit to being both excited and slightly apprehensive about this mode of transport…), and will head straight across to the Dynamo Hackathon. With any luck I'll be fully rested and in good shape to help folks.
I stumbled across this picture on the main DevCon page. If you come along to the Hackathon I will be available to look at your screen in a thoughtful way there, too.
Aside from posing for photos, I will be presenting a session alongside my friend and Autodesk Research colleague, Tomas Lay Herrera.
The less good news is that it's in the very last slot of the conference, at 3:45pm on the Thursday. From experience there are many people driving to the event who will have hit the road by then - if you don't get out of the city before rush hour you can get stuck quite badly, apparently - but I do hope there will be a decent number of folks who are still able to come. We shall see soon enough.

I've submitted an extended version of this class for AU 2026, so if it gets accepted then people will have the chance to see this - and in much more detail - in Las Vegas, too.
I know the DevCon is now completely sold out, so I won't suggest for folks to register, at this late stage. There may still be time to register for the Dynamo Hackathon, though.
Hoping to see you in Amsterdam!
