If you're interested in designing for human experience, neuroarchitecture or other well-being related design fields, the Enlivened Design team would love to meet with you at Autodesk University 2026! (I've posted a quick video summarising some of the below information on LinkedIn.)

We currently have three activities planned - although this may expand as we get nearer the event.

  1. A Braindate to discuss "The Role of Design Technology in Enhancing Human Experience". Tuesday September 15th, 1-2pm.
    • Braindates are new to this AU: there will be a special area in the Expo for semi-formal (informal but planned somewhat in advance) meetups on topics of your choice. I submitted the above "open discussion" topic - as I thought it would be very interesting to find out more about what people care about in this field. At the time of writing there are still 3 slots left, so sign up today if you want to join!
  2. An Encoding Experience afternoon get-together. Tuesday September 15th, 2-5pm.
    • Following on from our events from last summer, we're inviting interested parties to an event on the first afternoon of AU 2026. There will be snacks and interesting discussions, whether about our research or the current reality of practicing human-centric architecture. Spaces are limited - the venue can only accommodate 30 people - so do reach out via LinkedIn or email if you would like to reserve a space.
  3. BLD2652 | From Reality to Simulation: Capturing, Predicting, and Replaying the Experience of Design with APS and AI. Wednesday September 16th, 3-4pm.
    • I will be presenting about how our research has leveraged APS - and increasingly AI - to capture, simulate and replay the human experience of the built environment. I'll be joined by Andrés Sebastián Diaz Vargas, who will be able to answer detailed technical questions on how we did things.

AU 2026 session

We'll also be holding side meetings with customers: if you (or someone you know) would be interested in learning more about my team's research, please do reach out.

I'm really excited about this AU - the timing is right for us to be talking more about our work, and gather valuable feedback on its direction. Hoping to see you in Las Vegas in September!
