At the Cloud Accelerator in Prague

We're about halfway through the first Cloud Accelerator Extension being held in the incredible city of Prague. The entire European ADN team is in town – so a great chance to catch up with old friends such as Jeremy, Adam, Philippe, Cyrille and Peter – along with cloud-focused developers from Norway, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece, Israel and (of course) the Czech Republic. So definitely making new friends, too. 🙂Camped out in the Prague Accelerator

I'm mainly here to help developers working with AutoCAD I/O – gathering feedback for the development team, in the process – and it's really great to see it being put through its paces.

The days are long – we're tending to be in the office for just shy of 12 hours each day – but it's rewarding: many participants are progressing quickly, with Friday's deadline fast approaching.

I'd forgotten how breathtakingly beautiful Prague is. We had a tour of the city, last night, which refreshed my memory nicely.

Thanks to Jeremy Tammik for taking such great pictures!

    Hi Kean,
I just want to say a big THANKS to you and the Autodesk Team for all the support and a great time during the Accelerator in Prague. It was a pleasure working so close together with all of you guys :-). The Accelerator is a great way to start cloud based projects on Autodesk technologies.

    1. Hi Thomas,

It was great meeting you in person, at last!

On the entity visibility topic... I have some code to share, at some point: the latest is that 2D works well (which means the 2D Wireframe Visual Style) but 3D views (all other Visual Styles) used cache the draw calls and don't use World/ViewportDraw repeatedly.

I'm going to check in with the graphics team on this, though. In case there's something I've missed...

      Best,

      Kean
